Log

Pillars are very popular because they have the unique characteristics of old wood such as mortise and tenon joinery, and their ease of use.
As they are important and main components to support the traditional Japanese houses,
they are strong and stuck tight with other wood so it is challenging to salvage.
However, we are committed to ensuring a stable supply through diligent daily collection.

Square timber

Square timbers, primarily used as beams, are popular for their versatility and stability. We offer a wide range of sizes, from massive timbers sourced from snowy regions, to slender ones from warmer climates.
We can customize them to meet your specific needs. Additionally, we can further enhance their usability through resizing (cutting) and other processing; transforming them into even more practical items.

Reclaimed wood pillar

Logs are the most beloved material in our collection of reclaimed Japanese wood. Each one is unique, just like us. Some are straight and calm, while others have wild curves. Some are smooth, while others show the marks of a craftsman's adze(a tool similar to an axe). We believe that these logs are not just wood. they're stories.

Our reclaimed wood comes from "Kominka", traditional Japanese homes built around 100 years ago. These homes, crafted without a single nail through the use of intricate wood joinery, showcase the incredible skill of our ancestors. You can almost feel the hands that shaped these timbers: the marks left by master craftsmen.

More than just wood, these pieces whisper stories of a time when people lived in harmony with nature. Embracing imperfections and the beauty of aging; they connect us to Japan's rich culture, history, and the unique spirit of our island nation. We believe these timbers hold a special magic: a connection to the soul of Japan.

However, as time goes by, more and more of these traditional houses are being demolished and replaced with new buildings. That’s why we’ve started a business to salvage and reuse the valuable materials from these traditional houses.

The salvaged lumber is carefully stored and meticulously restored: transforming them into beautiful materials once again. They are then thoughtfully integrated into modern spaces, bringing a touch of history to contemporary design.

We are looking for partner companies to distribute this reclaimed Japanese lumber within international markets.
